Our Story: A Decade in the Making

Our journey to becoming MedDent Solutions came from the life story of our founder and CEO, Dr. Forrest Bryant. In 2016 he retired from Dentistry after a successful exit from the sale of his multiple practices to a private equity-backed Dental Service Organization.

After his almost 20-year dental career, Dr. Bryant wanted to help other doctors and small business owners to accelerate their business’ success and make their lives better. He wanted to share his secrets of success and he set out to do this by becoming a Financial Representative with a major Financial Services company.  He earned multiple securities licenses, along with insurance certification, and continued to develop his education and knowledge in service to business owners.

While an advisor, he learned valuable aspects of developing and creating financial plans for his clients. However, he realized quickly that traditional financial service companies had many limitations for him and his friends (Dentists, Doctors, and Small Business owners). The institutional mindset did not put their clients first. They cared more about where they could take them vs. where the clients wanted to go.

With this in mind, he set out “…to build a company I always wanted and looked for but couldn’t find.”  With his successful business acumen, knowledge of the advisory business, participation in other Doctor/Dental/Small Business investments groups, and extensive study of the family office space, our predecessor company, High Speed Alliance, was born in 2017.

Our business grew quickly through word of mouth referrals, live educational events, our platform of private alternative investments, and most importantly our white glove service and understanding of our clients’ needs.  Our business consulting arm was launched in 2020.  We added in CEPA training – Certified Exit Planning Advisor- to elevate the business sales process in this evolving Dental-Medical landscape.  We expanded beyond private alternative investments into a full-spectrum wealth management company in 2022 that now also includes public market securities as well as Retirement Plan integration.  In 2023 we recommitted to helping clients more deeply with insurance needs because we could not find anyone else in the industry that understood what clients really needed and wanted.

As our service offering evolved, we knew it was finally time to rebrand our business entities to illustrate our progress and make it more easily understandable to the marketplace.  We are thrilled to announce that we are now MedDent Solutions.  This is the umbrella company that provides Solutions to Medical Doctors and Dentists through our vertical companies: MedDent Business, MedDent Wealth and MedDent Protect.  Through these offerings we provide bundled or unbundled services to care for busy dental and medical professionals …  from Residency through Retirement.

Founded in 2017 and specializing in financial planning, insurance protection strategy and business consulting, we set out to guide dentists along the path to financial freedom and security. We understand dentists and the dental journey because Dr. Bryant has walked it himself and can guide you on your own personal path to productivity, prosperity, and success.

Dr. Bryant is an Auburn University graduate with a DMD from UAB Dental School. He also currently holds Series 65 FINRA Securities license along with insurance certifications. He leads all portfolio companies with his expertise in wealth management, insurance and protection and EBITDA acceleration and is CEPA (Certified Exit Planning Associate) certified.

When not serving clients, Dr. Bryant can be found at the beach, at an Auburn football game, or miles off shore reeling in dinner.

Dr. Forrest Bryant

Lauren Nethery, our Chief Operations Officer, comes to MedDent Solutions from an incredibly diverse background. After over a decade in the Thoroughbred industry as a jockey and trainer managing the living, breathing, four-legged investments of her clients, she transitioned into a role as the Director of Development at a franchise management company before connecting with Dr. Bryant and beginning her MedDent journey.

As the first member of the MedDent Solutions team, Lauren came on board in August of 2017 and has relished the opportunity to both grow the business and develop the team hand-in-hand with Dr. Bryant. Day to day, she enjoys overseeing the behind-the-scenes operations including legal and compliance, IT, client communications, team growth and development. Lauren also manages and oversees MedDent Business – our consulting and EBITDA solutions.

When she’s not helping clients and developing our team, you can find her rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, trail running, and snow skiing.

Lauren Nethery

Clifford A. Lipscomb, Ph.D., MRICS is Chief Investment Officer at MedDent Solutions. In this role, Dr. Lipscomb conducts due diligence research on individuals and their firms across all asset classes.

Dr. Lipscomb is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor with more than 25 years of experience in economic and statistical analysis, survey design, consulting, and teaching. His previous employment includes the Georgia Institute of Technology (2019-2021), Greenfield Advisors (2010-2019), Valdosta State University [Associate Professor of Economics (2005-2010) and Director of the Center for Business and Economic Research (2008-2010)], George Mason University (2004-2005), and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (2003-2005).

Dr. Lipscomb holds baccalaureate degrees in Economics and Sociology from Berry College as well as a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He lives in Cartersville, GA with his wife and five children.

Dr. Cliff Lipscomb

Our Director of Investor Relations, comes to MedDent Solutions with an MBA and over 25 years of expertise in Marketing Strategy, Client Management, Marketing Communications, and Brand Development. She started her career at Disney and then transitioned into a pivotal role at Universal Studios where client service, accountability, and innovation are paramount.

As a member of the MedDent Solutions team, Sheri’s expertise lies in the personal touch that she extends to every client and is our team’s “swiss army knife.” She is also an integral part of all event management, scheduling, marketing, operations, process development, and oversees our insurance and protection solutions.

When she’s not parenting or working, Sheri is a very talented tennis player of both singles and doubles.

Sheri Rustic

Melissa joined MedDent Solutions in 2020 as support to the planning team. She has since obtained her Series 65 and helps with our wealth management solution. Prior to MedDent Solutions, Melissa worked as Director of Client Services for a traditional investment advisory firm, and established an RIA for a financial planning firm.

She moved from Northern California to Utah in 1995 and attended Brigham Young University where she graduated in Public Relations. She never left Utah and made it her home, despite the snow! She loves to spend time with her family, lift weights, teach group fitness classes, and read historical fiction.

Melissa Rask

Chris joined the para planner team in August 2021. She came to MedDent Solutions after spending ten years creating, owning, and running a Personal Assistant Service in Lexington, KY. Utilizing her logistical and customer service skills to establish the first business of its kind in the area by providing an array of services helping high net worth clients and business owners utilize their time better. Many of her former clients are more like extended family to this day.

She has applied those same skills to provide back office and client support for MedDent.

Her prior experience includes an extremely diverse background in the Thoroughbred industry similar to Lauren’s as a rider, assistant trainer, farm owner, and stakes coordinator.

On a vacation to Siem Reap, Cambodia she fell in love with the people and the city and made the huge decision to move there in April 2018, where she still resides. As an avid traveler she is always planning for the next journey and a new stamp in her passport. She adopted a kitten named Tao from a floating village who continues to keep life interesting. 

Chris Hall

Steven Wolf is the Director of IT at MedDent Solutions, where he designs, builds, and oversees the technology infrastructure that powers the company’s platforms, client experiences, and internal operations. He is responsible for translating MedDent’s strategic vision into scalable systems that support marketing, sales, client delivery, and data across the organization.

In his role, Steven leads the development and management of MedDent’s websites, eCommerce systems, CRM and automation workflows, email and communications infrastructure, platform integrations, and cybersecurity standards. He works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and support growth across all MedDent offerings through practical, hands on technology solutions.

Steven lives in Tampa, Florida with his wife, Ruthy, and their child. He is an avid sports fan and a lifelong supporter of the Chicago Cubs.
